Jamaica Hurricane Relief: Jamaica Needs Your Support!

Jamaica Hurricane Relief

A joint effort by Jamaicans and American friends supporting Jamaica

Jamaica Needs Your Support!

We need your support to provide hurricane relief to the people of Treasure Beach, and the Pedro Plains area, in the parish of St Elizabeth, Jamaica, which is among the most devastated areas of Jamaica as a result of hurricane Melissa (a category 5 hurricane—the largest in recorded history to hit the island– which ravaged the country.

Ambassador Curtis Ward (former ambassador of Jamaica to the United Nations), a Jamaican and Caribbean diaspora leader, has teamed with Scott Silverman (an American friend supporting Jamaica) in response to the devastation of some 80% of Jamaica by hurricane Melissa. Together we have launched a relief effort which will include sending a container of desperately needed items to assist Jamaicans who suffered great losses from the hurricane. This catastrophic hurricane has left hundreds of thousands of desperate Jamaicans without basic necessities.
